Launched in Bangladesh in January 2024, Lalan Energy Solutions the fully owned subsidiary of Lalan Engineering Sri Lanka, now brings its service to the Bangladesh market. This new venture reinforces the 25 years of presence Thermax already has in Bangladesh. With the quality product portfolio of Thermax and the unparalleled after sales service and support given by Lalan Energy would take both companies to the next level of a total one stop solution for all energy needs.

Lalith Hapangama

In 1940, Peter Hapangama set up a rubber trading company, dealing natural rubber locally; and by 1958, his son David Hapangama expanded it to global markets. The modest yet burgeoning family business was taken overby the latter’s son Lalith Hapangama in 1983. Under his stewardship, it has grown into a diversified conglo­­­merate specialising in the glove manufacturing, plantations, renewable energy, packaging, mattresses and pillows, engineering and leisure sectors. Driven by over 7,500 team members across five continents and with the fourth generation in the wings, Lalan Group looks to enter a new era with galvanised ambition and enthusiasm.

An Alumni of the IIMB and Engineering from India, possess over 25+ years of Experience in various fields of Manufacturing / Sales & Services and Marketing in Sri Lanka and Overseas. He has represented organizations such as JK Synthetics, Welspun Group, Thermax Ltd, Midas Safety and now With Lalan Engineering (Pvt) Ltd.
